A double-gauze cotton towel carrying the dragon-and-cloud design from a blue-and-white jar used at the Joseon court, drawn in indigo.
350mm square: open, it's a face towel; folded, a handkerchief; halved over a rail, a kitchen cloth. Thin enough to dry in hours, and softer with every wash.

- The original is a Joseon white porcelain jar painted in cobalt with dragons and clouds, a vessel used in royal ceremony. A dragon cannot rise alone — it needs cloud to climb. So the two were always painted together, and the motif came to mean 'meeting your moment and reaching what you were after'
- In Joseon, not everyone could use a dragon. It stood for the king. Vessels carrying this design stood in pairs at court ceremonies — they attended the days that mattered.
- Pigments were not available to just anyone. Cobalt imported from the West was as expensive as gold, so the potter drew only the essential lines. Thanks to this, refreshing negative space was created, further highlighting the dragon.
- Which makes it a motif for congratulations. For a promotion, an exam passed, a long-prepared venture finally opening — may your moment come, and may you rise on it.
