A brass keyring struck with the lotus from a Baekje roof tile, strung with a cotton tassel and a natural stone bead.
50×90mm on a snap hook, so it moves from bag to AirPods case to suitcase handle in a second. Solid brass, not plating — there's no coating to wear through.

- The original is a Baekje lotus-pattern roof-end tile, a *sumaksae* — the round tile that caps the eave of a tiled roof. It is the part of a house that protects it, sealing the line so rain can't work into the timber. That surface does its job with no design at all. Baekje carved a flower there anyway.
- And they chose the lotus for a reason: the flower that rises out of mud without being stained by it. Wherever you find yourself, you don't lose what you are. That wish, laid on the part of the house that keeps the weather out.
- Fourteen centuries ago it hung at the end of a roof. Now it hangs at the end of a bag. For someone moving out, moving abroad, opening a new space — it says *keep well* better than the words do.

- Struck, not printed. Like the tile it comes from, every petal has real relief. In raking light, shadows collect between them. It stops looking like a printed charm entirely.
- Solid brass, not plating. Gold plating wears through at the edges and shows silver underneath. Here the colour *is* the material.
- The stones change with the colourway. Pink gets white and pale green; cream, turquoise and rose; sky blue, navy and red. Three palettes, composed separately.

- Heavy brass chain at the joint. Thin jump rings would open up under this weight.

The softest of the three. Apricot-leaning pink with white and pale green stones keeps the brass from landing heavily. Good against a light bag or a white AirPods case.

Sky Blue
The most composed. A blue-grey tassel against navy and red stones — the only palette here with real tension. It comes alive on black or navy, and reads well on anyone.
