- Dancheong (단청) is the Korean art of painting color and pattern onto wooden architecture — palaces, temples, gates. It began as protection against rain and rot, and grew into a visual language of rank and beauty.
- Its palette is obangsaek, the five cardinal colors: blue, red, yellow, white and black. Each belongs to a direction — east, south, center, west, north. Nothing here was chosen at random.
- Meoricho is painted at the "head" — the two ends — of long beams and rafters. It has no counterpart in Chinese or Japanese architectural painting; this is the part of dancheong that is distinctly Korean, and every motif in it is a wish for good fortune.
- Geumdancheong is the highest grade of all. Pattern fills every inch with no bare space left, dense as woven silk — geum (錦) — which is exactly where the name comes from. Only the most important halls were painted this way.
- Geometric patterns like these appear as far back as Goguryeo tomb murals. You are writing with a design that has been in use for well over a thousand years.

Requirements

- The order is delayed for more than 10 days since payment and you have not received any notification regarding the delay; or
