This badge is designed based on the consonants and vowels of the Korean alphabet used in the early days of Korean independence.

- Hangeul is widely regarded as one of the most scientific and innovative writing systems ever created. It has been inscribed in UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register and is also designated as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage of Korea. It is remarkably easy to learn — even beginners can start reading it within just a few hours. Korean, written in Hangeul, is spoken by approximately 77.3 million people, making it the 14th most spoken language in the world.

- This badge design was inspired by the Hangeul 500th Anniversary Commemorative Stamp, created to celebrate five centuries since the introduction of Hangeul. It incorporates consonants and vowels based on early Hangeul characters used during the initial years of Korea’s independence.
- 한글반포 500주년을 기념하여 제작된 '한글오백주년기념우표'를 통해 대한독립 초기 당시에 사용되던 한글의 자음과 모음을 참고하여 배지로 디자인하였습니다.
| Unique Point
- In early modern Korea, the letter “ㅌ” (수정 전엔 영문 E로 기재되어 있었음) was written differently from how it appears today — with an additional upward stroke resembling the top of the consonant “ㅊ”.
- 개화기의 한글은 먼저 'ㅌ' (수정 전엔 영문 E로 기재되어 있었음) 의 표기법이 지금과는 다르게 ㅊ, 처럼 위로 한 획이 추가된 모습으로 표기 되어있습니다.
- The horizontal stroke of the “ㅋ (수정 전엔 = 으로 기재되어 있었음) ” symbol was often drawn as a diagonal line from lower left to upper right, giving it a charming appearance — almost like an arrow or a special character.
- 'ㅋ' (수정 전엔 =으로 기재되어 있었음) 의 가운데 획이 좌하 - 우상의 사선으로 되어 귀엽게 느껴지기도 합니다. 화살표 같기도 하고, 특수기호로 보이기도 합니다.
- Stars (★ 별모양을 추가해야 이해가 쉬울 듯) are used to fill the spaces between consonants and vowels, which is a unique feature of Hangeul from the Enlightenment period. This playful design choice gives the text a romantic and visually charming feel.
- 자음과 모음 사이의 여백이 별(★ 별모양을 추가해야 이해가 쉬울 듯)로 채워져 개화기 한글의 디자인 특징을 살펴볼 수 있습니다. 아름답고, 낭만적인 느낌이 느껴집니다.

- The recipient will be held responsible for international shipments which may be subject to import duties and taxes.

- In the case that the recipient refuses to receive the parcel, the order will be returned to Korea and will not be re-shipped.
- Relevant expenses (round-trip shipping, customs, etc.) will be deducted from the refund.
Returns/Exchanges
Requirements
- Please take into consideration that we only accept qualifying returns but not exchanges. Refunds are issued once the returned products clear our inspection.
1) An item is eligible for cancellation if:
- You posted a Return request within 24 hours of payment and your order is still under “Pending” status (if your order is under “Preparing Shipment” status, please contact wayujae.info@gmail.com) or
- The order is delayed for more than 10 days since payment and you have not received any notification regarding the delay; or
- The ordered item is out of stock.
2) We accept return(s) if:
- You receive a product different from your order; or
- You receive a defective product.
**The following items are not considered defective:
- Items that are originally manufactured without tags or labels
- Items with creases that may have been made while shipping
- Items with unsatisfactory/incomplete finish due to mass production

(1) Send a return request email to wayujae.info@gmail.com within three days of receipt. You are required to attach the photos of the received product(s) and include the item code, the order number, and the reason for the return. (2) A customer service representative will be in contact to assist you by email or phone. (3) Items returned must be in their original condition, which includes tags and any packaging. Also, you need to include a note of your order number, name, and user ID. |
** Please be advised that returns are accepted ONLY IF you followed the instructions above and your return request has been approved by our staff. Returns that are shipped to us without any prior consent are not accepted.
** Please note that EVEN the defective/incorrect item(s) must be returned with all of the tags and labels intact. The item(s) must be sent in their original packaging and unworn.
** Please include all contents of the original package and free gifts (if applicable) in your return packaging.
** Shipping fee for any return caused by our fault will be paid by the company. However, if EMS’s cash on delivery is not possible then you can scan the return receipt and mail it with the item to return. The shipping fee will be refunded once the returned item has arrived.
3) We do not accept return(s) if:
- You are returning the items just because you changed your mind (on size, color, etc.)
- You are returning shoes, bags, or any other accessories
- The products are damaged due to your mishandling
- Your return request is not approved by our staff
4) If there is a missing item from your order:
- Send a email to wayujae.info@gmail.com within 1 day of delivery.
- Please keep all contents of the original package including packaging material (boxes, plastic bags etc.) with you until you are instructed otherwise.
- Please note that we may not be able to process the refund for your missing item if you lose or damage any packaging material.
